Bear
Hi ... my name is Bear. I am a 1 year old black lab mix (sometimes tinged with brown) with white chest and feet. I weigh about 80 pounds and have been neutered.
I love to play with balls, etc although I do not always want to give it back .... but I can be convinced. I like to have my ears & belly scratched. I am very friendly, happy & busy. I like to swim in my Mum's pond. I love everyone but sometimes play a little rough. I spend most of my time outside but would like to be part of an inside family too. I don't like cats very much ... seems they don't want to play the same way I do. I haven't had any experience with other dogs but I am not aggressive and I don't bark much. I have a bunch of toys & a comb that comes with me.
I am a student with Bark Busters and am learning lots of stuff......

Rosie, Lindsay & Ben
These adorable pups are nine weeks old and full of cuddles and puppy breathe kisses. As far as puppies go
they are very very good and calm. They are said to be ¾ Shepherd ¼ Lab so they are going to be big dogs. Obedience classes are a
must for these pups to ensure a happy, content dog in the future. Puppies require lots and lots of attention and can not be left alone for very long so it would be best that whoever is interested in adopting a pup is not gone all day.
If you are interested in any of these pups please contact www.nsgsrescue.com East Coast German Shepherd Rescue. 902-435-9699 Leah

Kody and Bailey
These handsome boys (pics don't do them justice) are one year old Kody and Bailey, both of whom would appreciate a loving indoor home
with a someone who would give them lots of exercise and attention.
Both boys are healthy, active and weigh in at approximately 130 lbs. They are also neutered and friendly though
both would benefit from obedience training...
Please contact
Colleen (902-889-3484) for more information.

BUDDY
Buddy is a three year old male beagle/husky mix looking for an immediate new home. He was rescued from Waterville where he was tied up
outside for most of those three years. He is vaccinated but must be neutered.
He loves cats, is very affectionate and loyal. He loves his twice a day walks in the park and loves people – not too keen on other dogs
though! Please email Robert for more
information on Buddy.

SHELBY
Shelby is a large 4yr old female shepherd who loves to play, play, play. She is
quite majestic looking with beautiful golden eyes She loves Frisbees, balls, squeaky toys, and getting sprayed with the hose..
She was apprehensive with dogs but seems to be slowly getting better. She loves to play with puppies but is still unsure of
large dogs. She has lived a sheltered life so it takes some time to earn her trust but she is extremely loyal once she knows
she is safe and loved. She would do best in a home with children over the age of 12yrs and someone who understands the Shepherd breed.
Please contact East Coast German Shepherd Rescue if you are interested in Shelby. 902-435-9699 or www.nsgsrescue.com

NEKKO
Nekko is a very, very sweet girl and was very well taken care of and is good with other dogs. She would make someone a wonderful pet. If anyone can help, please let me know.
She is an 11-year-old Husky. The owners have had her her whole life and she has been treated like a queen.
However, they have a toddler and they have integrated everyone together well and then recently, the dog gave the toddler a
warning bite in the face. They don’t want to risk it might happen again so are rehoming her. They found her a home with two
ladies about a month ago but now one of the ladies is being transferred to Toronto so they have asked her to take the dog back.
Please call 902-497-6426 or 902-422-1839 or email for more information.

SHYANNE
Shyanne is a 3 year old Rotti mix whose owner recently passed away. Shyanne is
house trained. She has a crate but has not spent a lot of time in her crate.
She knows the commands of place, sit, down and stay. Shyanne is affection and
likes to be petted but will vocalized and sounds like growls if the petting
stops. Shyanne loves to play outside and swim.. She can be very possessive
and requires an experienced owner. Contact : Lynne Brushette (PEI) 902-672-2541

DAVE
My three daughters and I first met Dave when we went to the Moncton SPCA three
years ago to look for a dog. While all the other dogs barked to get our attention,
Dave sat quietly, eyes fixed upon us. As we approached him, we caught a barely
audible whimper, as if to say, "See how good I can be?" He
won our hearts immediately. Dave is five and a half years old, a mix of Border
Collie and Sheltie. He is very gentle and loving, excellent with children and
has grown to, not love, but tolerate our two cats, who are fascinated by him.
So why are we looking for a new home for him? The family dynamic has changed.
I am now working full time and my husband is home. He is not as much of a dog
person as I am, so finds having a dog in the house a little stressful.
Dave is not perfect. He is terrified of thunderstorms and even in the rain (perhaps
because he thinks the thunder is coming next?) will have mild anxiety attacks,
which for him is panting and pacing around the house. There are tricks we've
tried, with some success, to alleviate his anxiety. Our vet recommended mild
tranquilizers in severe storms, which work well. When he is outside, he must
be tied or will bolt at the smallest distraction and is not good at finding his
way home again. We have had him in obedience classes, which did help him with
certain commands (but he just doesn't seem to understand the game of fetch at
all. We don't think his previous owners ever played with him, so he just doesn't
get it. ) We have placed him at a kennel when we went away and that went very
well. No anxiety attacks there. He's a true pack animal, is happy to have people
around, so he would not do well in a house that was empty for most of the day.

Nanuk
Nanuk. He is a dog that I rescued last year from Natuashish Labrador. He is a
husky/white Lab cross and right now he is about nine months old. I had originally
taken him to be a sled dog but he is very timid and would do much better as
a pet. I thought that you may know of somebody that may be looking for such
a dog. When I got him he was just about six weeks old and very skinny and obviously
abused. He has grown into a handsome dog but still carries the memories of
his abuse.
Please let me know if you know of a home for this boy. It would take a VERY special
home. Please email
hudsonscott@hotmail.com for more info. January 10, 2008
