Featured Adoptable Pets
Periodically, unique animals find their way into our community of shelters.
They may have special needs, be depressed living the shelter life (and
who wouldn't be?), or simply have great personalities that need an opportunity
to shine. Here we have highlighed a few of those residents.
If you are interested in any of our featured adoptables, please contact
the group or person noted in his/her biography brief.
DOGS
SAMMY
Hey everyone! Where are you? I am a Lab/ Rottie mix, who is 3 years old and I
weigh 78 Lbs. I have been with my Foster family for 3 weeks now as I had to
leave my last home due to Medical reasons. Their daughter developed severe
allergies and with great sadness on their part and mine I could not stay.
I am a very well behave girl, full of energy who loves to run and play. Fetch
is my favourite game and if you add water to the mix that makes it much better
because I love to swim. I know my basic commands; sit, lay down and stay and
I am very eager to please, so anything else you want to teach me would be great.
I walk well on leash especially with a gentle leader.
My foster family runs their own business looking after dogs so I am around dogs
big and small; I get along with them all. My favourite ones to play with are
the litter of puppies they had. I am so gentle with them and let them crawl
on me, bite my toes and take my toys. I also never take my food until I am
told it's ok. I sit and wait very patiently till my foster mom or dad say I
can have it and then I eat it all up mmmmm. I am all potty trained and when
I have to go out I touch the door knob with my nose. At night I sleep on my
dog bed and when my foster family goes away I just hang out in the house, cause
I am such a good girl, but man if they take me in the car I am supper happy!
I love drives, they are so exciting. I am also kennel trained so if you feel
safer with me in a kennel while you are away that is ok with me to. For as
much energy as I have at the end of the day and it is time for life to wind
down for the night I love to just snuggle and watch TV. Also if you ask me
to come up in your bed I love I love it because it makes it easier to give
you a kiss good night.
If you think I would be a good fit for your home and I can stay forever than
fill out the adoption application found at www.animalrescuecoalitions.com .
Then email it back to arc@seabright.ca. because I would love to
have my own family to run, play and snuggle with.
Cheers,
Sammy

CATS
Jackson
Meet Jackson! He is one of our current rescues waiting for his forever home! I have had this sweet boy since May of 2008 so he is approx 1 yr old now. He has a lovely personality and loves to play. He is used to being around other cats so it would be nice for him to go to a home with another cat or to go with one of his friends from our rescue. Please contact TAPA for an adoption application for Jackson. He will be great company for someone! Jackson is up to date on vaccines, has been tested for feline leukemia and neutered. He has been dewormed and does not have any fleas.
